PolyDADMAC Coagulant
PolyDADMAC is a liquid cationic polymer coagulant used to remove turbidity, colour and organic matter from water and effluent, often to reduce or replace the dose of alum or PAC.

- Bulk packs, delivered across India
- What it does
- Neutralises the charge on fine particles and colour bodies
- Used in
- Raw water treatment, textile and dye effluent, paper mills, ETPs
- Forms
- Liquid
- How it is applied
- Dosed neat or diluted, with rapid mixing, before flocculation
What is PolyDADMAC Coagulant?
PolyDADMAC is a high-charge cationic polymer. Because it carries a strong positive charge, it neutralises negatively charged particles and colour bodies quickly, at low doses and with little effect on pH or sludge volume.
It is used alone or together with inorganic coagulants such as PAC, and is followed by an anionic polyelectrolyte where larger flocs are needed.
Where PolyDADMAC is used
- Colour removal in textile and dye effluent
- Turbidity removal in raw water
- Reducing alum or PAC dose and sludge volume
- Paper mill water and effluent
How to use PolyDADMAC
- Jar test to find the dose, alone or with PAC.
- Dose at a point of rapid mixing.
- Follow with a flocculant if larger flocs are needed.
- Monitor colour and turbidity at the outlet and adjust.

Frequently asked questions
What is PolyDADMAC used for?
As a cationic coagulant for turbidity and colour removal in water and effluent, and to reduce the dose of alum or PAC.
Can PolyDADMAC replace alum?
In many cases it can reduce or partly replace alum or PAC, with less sludge and little pH change. A jar test shows how far you can go.
