Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte
A non-ionic polyacrylamide flocculant for clarification and settling where charged grades perform poorly, such as in acidic conditions and some mineral slurries.
- Supplied by Zyax Chem, Mumbai
- Send your water or process details for a recommendation
- Bulk packs, delivered across India
- What it does
- Bridges particles into flocs without relying on charge
- Used in
- Acidic process water, mineral processing, some industrial effluents
- Forms
- Powder
- How it is applied
- Dissolved to a dilute solution and dosed with gentle mixing
What is Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte?
Non-ionic flocculants carry little or no charge and work by bridging particles together. They are chosen where the pH or chemistry of the water makes charged polyelectrolytes less effective.
Where Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte is used
- Acidic effluents and process streams
- Mineral and metallurgical slurries
- Clarification trials where anionic and cationic grades underperform
How to use Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte
- Make up a dilute solution and age it.
- Dose with gentle mixing after any coagulant.
- Jar test against anionic and cationic grades to confirm the best choice.
Choosing the right grade
To recommend a product and starting dose, send us:
- Water pH and type of solids
- Flow and current treatment
- Results of any jar tests
Handling and safety
Spills make floors slippery; clean with dry absorbent. Wear gloves and eye protection.

Non-ionic polyelectrolyte powder
For acidic systems: flocculates at about pH 4 without prior neutralisation, so it does not add dissolved salts.
