What is Cooling Tower Corrosion Inhibitors?
Cooling water corrodes mild steel and copper, causing leaks, iron fouling and shorter equipment life. Corrosion inhibitors form thin protective films on metal surfaces.
Azoles such as tolyltriazole (TTA) and benzotriazole (BTA) are used specifically to protect copper condenser tubes, and are usually part of a combined scale and corrosion programme.
