Cottosolv is a highly concentrated alkaline degreaser and stripper for removing wax, resin, polymer treatments, and stubborn greasy dirt. It dissolves organic and synthetic build-up and can be used on its own or as the alkaline stage in a two-step wax-stripping process with Dec 21.
Suitable for marble, granite, limestone, travertine, slate, sandstone, basalt, concrete and concrete tiles, ceramic, porcelain stoneware, cotto, terracotta, quartzite, tuff, and synthetic floor coverings such as PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane, indoors and outdoors.
How to use
Sweep or vacuum the surface and work in manageable sections. Dilute to suit the job: undiluted or 1:1 for double wax stripping, 1 part to 2 to 4 parts water for heavy degreasing, and 1 part to 9 parts water for periodic deep cleaning. Apply evenly with a machine or brush, leave for 10 to 15 minutes while keeping the surface wet, add water to form an emulsion, remove the excess, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Dilution: 1:1, 1:2 to 1:4, or 1:9 depending on the job
Coverage: 10 to 15 sq.m per litre at working dilution
Form: amber liquid, strongly alkaline, pH 13
Shelf life: 36 months in original sealed packaging
Wear suitable gloves and eye protection, do not use on recently grouted surfaces, do not apply to wet or overheated surfaces, and do not mix with other chemicals except Dec 21.
