Enter your pool size and what your water needs. You get the exact amount of each Pool Maxx product to add, taken from the product labels.

How to use these doses safely

Test your water first with Pool Maxx 5-in-1 test strips. Fix the pH before anything else, because chlorine, clarifier and algaecide all work best at the right pH. Add one product at a time with the pump running, and never mix two chemicals in the same bucket.

Pool Maxx 35 and chlorine are two different ways to sanitise a pool. Do not add chlorine for 24 hours before using Pool Maxx 35, and the chlorine level should read zero when you add it.

pH Up and pH Down: never add more than half of the dose at once. Add half, run the pump for 2 hours, test again, then add more if needed.

Common questions

How do I work out my pool volume in litres?

Multiply length × width × average depth. In feet, multiply the answer by 28.3 to get litres. In metres, multiply by 1,000. A 30 ft × 15 ft pool with an average depth of 4.5 ft holds about 57,000 litres.

How much chlorine does my pool need?

For Chloro Maxx 90 tablets, the regular dose is 300 to 350 g per 1 lakh litres, which gives 3 to 5 ppm. Keep free chlorine between 1 and 3 ppm. For a shock after heavy use, rain or algae, the label dose is 550 to 1,100 g per 1 lakh litres.

Where do these numbers come from?

Every dose on this page is taken from the label of the Pool Maxx product it links to. Always read the label before use. For hotel, club or society pools, ask our team for a dosing plan.
